FITCRUNCH Chocolate Strawberry Waffle

Indulge in the romantic combination of rich chocolate and fresh strawberries with this delicious waffle recipe. It’s one thing to make breakfast for your loved one, but it’s another thing to put a healthy twist on the breakfast you serve them to really show them you care. Waffles are traditionally made up of a lot of refined sugar and not so useful carbohydrates. This waffle recipe will bring nutritional balance with quality whey protein, complex carbs from pumpkin, and lower sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops FITCRUNCH Chocolate Deluxe Whey Protein Powder (32g)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin (120g)
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour (30g)
  • 3 T egg substitute (46ml)
  • 3 T unsweetened almond milk (46ml)
  • 3-4 chopped strawberries (50g)
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • powdered sugar (optional topping)

Instructions:

  1. Chop strawberries and set aside
  2. Mix all remaining ingredients until smooth
  3. Stir in chopped strawberries
  4. Coat waffle iron with nonstick spray
  5. Cook on medium heat
  6. Top with powdered sugar and more strawberries
